Local holiday events make city festive

The last two weeks of the year offer more festive events and winter entertainment opportunities than you can fit in. Downtown in December is a series of holiday events and attractions, many of which are free, that the entire family will enjoy through Jan. 11.

Downtown in December is produced in part by Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership with generous support from Devon Energy and the Downtown Business Improvement District, as well as other corporate sponsors and partners.

If it’s holiday lights that you crave, check out the Lights on Broadway that illuminate Automobile Alley in waterfalls of color. Many of the merchants on Broadway offer extended hours and holiday specials. At the Myriad Gardens, Illuminations is an immersive installation inside the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory that combines light and sound. Hop on a free water taxi ride to see the lights on the Bricktown Canal. Join Chabad Community Center the first night of Chanukah with a celebration of joy, pride, and gratitude at the Bricktown Ballpark on Dec. 22.
