700 WEST
The long-vacant parcel at 700 NW Fourth St. has been developed into apartments of various sizes for various income levels and meets some of the demand for new residential development in the urban core.
The project, dubbed 700 West, is five stories tall and includes 302 apartments wrapped around a 3-story parking garage, many with views of downtown. Apartment sizes range from studio to two bedrooms, with 72 rental units remaining affordable for individuals making no more than 80% AMI for the next 25 years. Amenities include an athletic center, bike storage, a dog area, BBQ stations, a pool and an outdoor lounge. As part of the project, public sidewalks and landscaping were added along North Shartel Avenue and Northwest 4th Street.
The intent of the project is to fill a long-vacant parcel with a modern and timeless building that supports its current neighbors and sparks new developments in this part of downtown Oklahoma City. Construction began in July 2021 and was completed in June of 2023.
